General Contracting

If you want to make the design and decorating decisions and leave the construction process to a skilled builder, general contract is likely the better choice for you.  Timber Ridge Homes will obtain skilled trades and material pricing and submit a single “all-in” price for building your home or cottage.  Often banks prefer to mortgage homes built under a general contract as they give the assurance of a completed home at a known price.

Timber Ridge Homes will receive a deposit prior to starting construction in order to buy materials and secure trades.  Typically, the cost of construction is reimbursed through four progress payments linked to an appraiser’s site visits and reports to the mortgage provider.
